Isaiah 60:1-6; Psalm 72:1-2, 7-8,10-13; Ephesians 3:2-3A,5-6; Matthew 2:1-12

Suggested Reflection Questions:

• Today’s reading from the Prophet Isaiah seeks to fill the people of God with hope at the coming radiant glory of the Lord. We proclaim this light of the world has come in Jesus Christ. How can you live as someone who claims to follow the Light?
• The psalmist sings of the rule of the holy king who brings peace and justice and who all the nations of the earth adore. Those in power are called to serve and honor him. What does this demand of us in our own spheres of influence? What does this demand of Christians in political leadership?
• The magi arrive from the East seeking to pay homage to the new king of the Jews. They travel an enormous distance to prostrate themselves before a tiny baby and his young mother. How are we called to imitate these three magi in our own life of faith? How are you being called to seek out Jesus this year? What gifts do you feel called to bring to God or the service of God’s kingdom at this moment in your life?
