Clothe the Naked

Beyond gathering gently used or even new clothing for your parish’s clothing closet (or another organization in your local community that provides clothing for the poor), consider how your young adult group might get involved with a micro-lending program. Microloans (you might be familiar with the terms microfinance and microcredit, too) go directly to places that invest in their local economies. They help residents of the area gain skills and the ability to create and sell local products, and many of them take clothing items. Kiva is one of many reputable agencies that you can work with to make a difference.
