Synod of Bishops

It’s an important moment for the Catholic Church. Right now, the extraordinary Synod of Bishops on marriage and the family is happening at the Vatican. It’s a time for the bishops and Pope Francis to meet and reflect on the important issues facing families in the Catholic Church. If Pope Francis’ recent actions are any indications of how he wants people to welcome more people to the Church through the Sacrament of Marriage, then this meeting could mean all kinds of things. With everyone watching Pope Francis’ next move, the Synod could signal a change in perspective or action.
