March Madness is here! How are your brackets doing? Whether you are a college basketball aficionado or have never watched a game in your life, March Madness, as well as watching sports in general, is a great bonding experience. Invite young adults to gather to watch some of the games and score your brackets. There have already been some upsets this year. Sports, and so much of life, is full of ups and downs. Talk with young adults about this year’s tournaments and the lessons they can learn from victory and defeat:

• Are you following March Madness this year? What team are you pulling for? What inspirational player or team are you following?
• When in your life have you felt defeated? What or who helped you back to your feet again?
• What lessons have you learned from being at the top of your game? What philosophy helped get you there?
• What connections do you see between the practice and discipline of sports and the practice and discipline of faith?
